Overview of our tree services
Crown Reductions
Reducing a tree involves reducing the height and spread of the tree through correct pruning techniques. Essentially bringing the canopy into a smaller natural shape by removal of branch tips to secondary growth points.

Crown lifting
Raising the canopy of a tree by removal of lower branches. Common for trees around footpaths, roads and 1st story windows to allow a clear path. Ideally carried out on trees from a young age to minimise the wound size.

Crown Thinning
Thinning involves removal of overweight branch tips on cracked, damaged or diseased branches. Canopy thinning is removal of crossing and small branches to allow more light and air through the tree. This puts off pests and diseases, exposes the features of the stem and allows light for plant growth underneath.

Pollarding
Reducing/maintaining a tree to a specified height from a young age. Involves the removal of all branches to a pole. Once pollarded it should be continually pollarded. This is not suitable for every tree.

Tree felling and sectional dismantle
This involves the removal of dead or dangerous trees using felling or sectional dismantling techniques. The tree is cut in a specific area to encourage a free directional fall. Depending on surroundings a tree can either be straight felled or climbed and removed in sections. When climbed usually you would use rigging techniques to ensure it comes down safely with out causing any surrounding damage.
All services will include removal of rubbish and we will leave the working area spotless. With tree removal we can also remove the stump either with a stump grinder or a digger.
